How does TAL work?

TAL is very simple in how it solves the cover problem. The TAL uses the same methods and components as your garage door opener and applies them in reverse to open and close your spa cover. A single motor lifts and folds the cover and gravity and springs close it. The result is a highly reliable lift that required minimal care and upkeep and offers years of service.

Landscaping & Space Constraints

TAL has a compact design that can adapt to almost any landscaping design application. The lift is installed on the back-side of the spa, with the spa sitting at deck level, mid-depth, or even fully embedded into the deck. This unobtrusive and versatile design leaves the spa open from all three sides making it very adaptable to whatever backyard design you are looking to accomplish without adding unwanted backyard structures.

Spa Design Limitations

Many common spa features prohibit automating the spa's cover. TAL can be used on all spas sizes and shapes; even spas with waterfalls, speakers, TVs, raised seat backs, and arched sides. These highly desirable features, common in many high-end spas, create beautiful sculptured aspects to the spas; but can not be used with most automated cover systems, except for the TAL. Repeated Manual Lift Replacements

Manual lifts only mask the weight issue which only gets worst with time. Additionally, these devices are not designed to handle the accumulating weight that cause the cover to fatigue and fail. One of the most common problems is that they pull away from the spa side walls for which the side walls are not designed to support. Due to this, manual lifts are often replaced as often as the cover themselves. The TAL is a robust, self-supporting, and exceptionally reliable automated lift, making it the perfect worry-free solution to most cover related issues.

Local Safety Codes

Local communities across the U.S. have either implemented, or are starting to implement, regulations for all pools and spas to be fenced or be equipped with an automated cover. Manual spa covers do not meet these codes requirements. In most cases, an automated spa cover is less costly and a more desirable option then fencing.
